Dori Barton, MS; Owner, Consulting Ecologist, Project manager, Permit Specialist:

Ms. Barton, an Arrowwood managing partner, is a trained ecologist with a diverse background in environmental consulting. Ms. Barton conducts stream geomorphic assessments, wetland delineations and functional assessments, wetland restoration and mitigation plans, wetland education programs, wildlife habitat assessments, hydrologic investigations, water quality studies, storm water modeling and permitting, environmental permitting and permit review (including Vermont Act 250, State of Vermont and Army Corps of Engineers Wetlands Permits, State of Vermont Stormwater Discharge Permit), erosion and sediment control plans, environmental impact assessments, and natural areas identification and protection. In addition to ecological work, Ms. Barton also writes proposals, conducts marketing, and acts as business manager. Jeff Parsons, MS; Owner, Wildlife Biologist, Ecologist:

Mr. Parsons, an Arrowwood managing partner has extensive experience working with a wide variety of local, regional, and statewide private and public organizations. He has extensive work experience in the following areas: wetland delineation, functional assessment, restoration and mitigation, wetland educational programs, environmental impact assessment, wildlife habitat assessments, lake and pond management, natural areas identification and protection, trail development, community natural resources planning, environmental policy, recreation planning, and environmental permitting. Mr. Parson’s accomplishments include the completion of many wetland delineations, wetland functional assessments, wetland wildlife assessments, wildlife assessments, and environmental impact assessments. He has testified numerous times before the Water Resources Board, Act 250 District Commissions, Environmental Board, and other court cases. Michael Lew Smith, MS; Owner, Botanist, Ecologist:

Mr. Lew Smith, an Arrowwood managing partner, has extensive and varied experience working closely with Natural Heritage Programs, The Nature Conservancy and private individuals and organizations. He has conducted wetland delineations, wildlife habitat assessments, and ecological restorations. His recent focus has been on conducting surveys for rare, threatened and endangered plants and significant natural communities. Mr. Lew-Smith recently developed a procedure for remote identification and on the ground assessment of Vernal Pools in Vermont. He also has extensive experience creating Natural Community assessments and maps for public land managers (both State Forests and National Parks). Aaron C. Worthley, BA; GIS Specialist/Staff Scientist

Mr. Worthley, an Arrowwood associate partner, has extensive training and experience in design and graphic computer applications in various trades including natural resource management, construction, and performing arts.  He manages Arrowwood’s GIS database, designs and develops maps and technical CAD drawings and conducts land surveys using Submeter GPS systems.  Mr. Worthley has training in Vt. geomorphic protocols and has conducted geomorphic assessments on several Vt. rivers.  Other skills include: forest habitat assessment, wildlife monitoring through track counts and other survey methods, water quality monitoring project design and implementation, conservation grant writing, community conservation initiatives.  Mr. Worthley currently serves as the chair of the Huntington (Vt.)
